How it works
Building up know-how, but also our own technical infrastructure that does not lead to total dependence on tech giants, is time-consuming. In order to keep up with the rapid pace of development and make meaningful use of AI, a joint effort is needed to observe, test and utilize the new possibilities. In the AI Collab of digital/organizing, progressive non-profit organizations join forces to actively pursue the possibilities of AI with pooled resources, test them in projects and experiments and thus make them usable for their work. The AI Collab also focuses on access to AI infrastructure, building up expertise and finding common positions on how to deal with AI.

Access to infrastructure and development.
The AI Colllab gives participants access to technical infrastructure. They are given access to extended interfaces with systems such as ChatGPT or specially developed applications, as well as resources for implementation in their own organization. The AI Collab creates incentives to try out new ideas.

Know-how and exchange.
Participants receive a lot of know-how about AI in monthly briefings and four events per year. In addition to inputs and news, the focus is on best practice examples and applications in everyday NGO life, as well as the exchange between organizations. Products created in the Collab are available to all participants.

Discussion and substantive position.
AI raises a whole range of new questions in connection with ethical use, data protection and similar issues. The AI Collab is a place where this discussion can take place objectively and calmly and where it is possible to agree on common practices and/or standards that are compatible with the values of the participating organizations.
